shadow roof for AIDAstella

Also for the seventh and for the present the last cruise ship of the serie of seven Hahlbrock has produced the large-format lightbuilding construction "shadow roof".

Currently the ship is in construction dock 1 of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg. From 26th Nov to 29th Nov 2012 there was the assembly of the seventh shadow roof on the 14th deck. As declared by the Meyer Werft shipyard the AIDAstella is delivered to Aida Cruises in spring 2013. The maiden voyage is taking place from Warnemuende to inter alia Denmark, Norway, England and France from 17th March until 28th March 2013. (Note AIDA)



Equipped with 14 decks, the new cruise ship is also equal in size to its sister ships AIDAdiva, AIDAbella, AIDAluna, AIDAblu, AIDAsol and AIDAmar. The Aida Stella has a a length of 253.3 meters and a width of 32.2 meters. Four diesel engines power the cruise ship with 50,000 hp and allow a cruising speed of 23 knots.
